HACK8 Eye Sling Hook with Latch

HACK8 Eye Sling Hook with Latch

HACK8 Grade 8 Eye Sling hook is a heavy-duty lifting component designed for use in rigging and lifting applications. The Grade 8 designation indicates a high-strength material, alloy steel, known for its excellent tensile strength and durability. An eye sling hook has an eyelet or “eye” at one end, allowing for easy attachment to lifting slings, chains, or other rigging equipment.

1. Material Grade (Grade 8): The hook is constructed from high-strength alloy steel, providing superior strength and resistance to wear and fatigue.
2. Eye Design: The eye design allows for easy attachment to lifting slings or chains. It provides a secure connection point for the rigging system.
3. Load Rating: The hook is rated for a specific load capacity, and it’s crucial to adhere to these load limits to ensure safe lifting operations.
4. Safety Latch: Many eye sling hooks are equipped with a safety latch or locking mechanism. This feature enhances safety by preventing accidental unhooking during lifting.
5. Durability: The hook is designed and manufactured to resist wear, corrosion, and fatigue, ensuring a long service life even under demanding conditions.
6. Compliance: William Hackett produce eye sling hooks in compliance with industry standards and regulations to ensure their suitability for lifting and rigging applications.
7. Identification Markings: The hook may have markings indicating the manufacturer’s name or logo, the material grade and other relevant information for traceability and compliance.

When using Grade 8 eye sling hooks, it’s essential to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and industry standards for safe and proper usage. Regular inspections, adherence to load capacities, and compliance with safety regulations are critical to ensuring the effectiveness and safety of these lifting components.

All William Hackett Grade 8 lifting components comply fully with the relevant section of EN1677, they are forged from alloy steel, they are crack detected following heat treatment and finally proof tested to 2.5 times working load. The full compliance of these components means that they can be used in chain slings certified to EN 818-4, for use in a temperature range of -40°C up to 200°C without reduction in working load limit.

These hooks can be connected to 1 Leg, 2 Leg, 3 Leg & 4 Leg Chain Slings using Connecting Links.
