Fully certified to EN1492-1 and ready to use straight out of the box, our flat slings are available in a wide range of Safe Working Loads (SWL) from 1 Tonne to 40 Tonne and multiple lengths, with compatible wear sleeves available to protect your slings at the load points.
Our manufacturer operates their own on-site weaving facility, giving them the capability to design and manufacture flat sling constructions ranging from 1T to 40T, including custom and non-standard solutions.
The Most Popular Polyester Webbing Slings
Available in 1-40T Webbing Slings, our standard flat slings come in two forms:
Simplex (1 Layer) – Made to Order
Duplex (2 Layer) – Available off the shelf
These cover solutions to most lifting applications and are also available in Endless and Quadplex configurations for more demanding requirements.
- Woven from High Tenacity Polyester (PES) Yarn, our flat lifting slings feature low weight, flexibility of use and ease of handling — offering significant improvements in both safety and cost compared to wire rope or chain alternatives.
- Manufactured from 100% polyester fibres, flat slings are a more versatile lifting solution than substitute products such as wire rope or chain, making them the preferred choice across a wide range of industries.
For special applications, we can also offer custom made lifting slings to meet your exact requirements.
Webbing slings and all other lifting slings must legally be inspected at least every six months for defects, signs of damage, frays and kinks. However, an inspection before each use is a sensible best practice we would strongly recommend to avoid any unnecessary accidents.
Formal Six-Monthly Inspections
Official webbing sling inspections must be carried out by a trained and competent person in accordance with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations). This ensures your webbing slings remain safe and compliant for continued use.
Pre-Use Checks — What to Look for Before Using a Webbing Sling
Before each lift, check your webbing sling for the following warning signs:
- Worn or missing identification labels or SWL markings
- Acid burns or chemical damage to the webbing
- Worn, bent or damaged fittings
- Melting, scorching or discolouration of any part of the sling
- Visible frays, cuts or abrasions to the outer webbing
- Kinks or deformation in the sling body
If any of these are present, do not use the webbing sling, remove it from service immediately and arrange for inspection or replacement.
